Production: Stags and Hens

Monday 24th July - Saturday 29th July 2006
Production: Stags and Hens

This was ION Production’s first major show and was staged at the Pier Pavilion in South Shields back in 2006. This play featured a fantastic line up of talent to do justice to Willy Russell’s wonderfully humorous play.
The play is set in a trashy 70s disco in Liverpool, England. The action is mainly in the gents and women's toilets of the disco where both Linda (The Bride) and Dave (The Groom) have decided to hold their stags and hens nights, not knowing that their other half is at the same place. When Linda's ex-boyfriend, Peter, arrives and offers her an escape she is forced with a difficult decision - to stay or to go.

The show was a great success although It was not without its problems. The unfortunate loss of Wayne Miller one of the original Stags due to filming commitments was a blow however we were lucky in getting such a good replacement in Richard.
